Effective Date: April 3, 2026
Welcome to oakandironcustomfurniture.com (the “Site”), operated by Oak & Iron Rooted In The Community LLC (“Oak & Iron,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this Site, submitting an inquiry, placing an order, registering for a workshop or event, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

2. Use of This Site

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not violate the rights of others or interfere with the operation of the Site.
You may not:
  • use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or related accounts
  • interfere with the security or performance of the Site
  • transmit spam, malware, or harmful code through the Site
  • copy, reproduce, scrape, or use Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site if we believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Products, Services, and Availability

Oak & Iron offers custom furniture, smaller shop pieces, workshops, events, and related goods or services through the Site and in person.
All product offerings, service descriptions, pricing, availability, and other content on the Site are subject to change at any time without notice.
We do our best to present materials, finishes, colors, dimensions, and product details as accurately as possible. Because Oak & Iron creates handcrafted work and may use natural materials such as wood, variations in grain, color, finish, texture, and appearance are normal and should be expected. Screen settings and photography may also affect how products appear online.

4. Custom Furniture and Made-to-Order Work

Custom furniture and made-to-order pieces may require separate communication, estimates, approvals, lead times, deposits, and project terms.
By submitting a custom inquiry through the Site, you understand that:
  • an inquiry does not guarantee project acceptance
  • pricing may change based on scope, dimensions, materials, finishes, or delivery requirements
  • production timelines may change depending on workload, materials, scheduling, and project complexity
  • custom work may require separate invoices, written approvals, or additional agreements
Unless otherwise stated in writing, custom and made-to-order work is generally non-refundable once materials have been ordered, production has started, or project approval has been given.

5. Orders and Payment

Orders placed through the Site are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including in cases involving suspected fraud, pricing errors, product availability issues, or inaccurate order information.
Payments made through the Site are processed through Squarespace and related payment processing tools. By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and that all billing information provided is accurate and current.

6. Pricing and Listing Errors

We work to keep pricing, descriptions, and product information accurate. Even so, errors may happen. We reserve the right to correct any error, inaccuracy, or omission at any time, including after an order has been submitted.
If an order is canceled because of a pricing or listing error after payment has already been made, we will refund the amount paid for that canceled order.

7. Shipping, Pickup, and Delivery

Shipping, local pickup, and delivery options may vary depending on the item.
Any shipping or delivery time shown on the Site is an estimate only and is not guaranteed. Delays may happen due to weather, production schedules, carrier issues, material availability, or other factors outside our control.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping and delivery information. Oak & Iron is not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or added costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
For shipped orders, risk of loss generally passes to the customer once the order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, unless otherwise required by law.

8. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Because Oak & Iron offers both standard and custom goods, return eligibility may vary by item.
Custom and made-to-order items:
Custom furniture, personalized goods, and made-to-order pieces are generally final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless they arrive damaged or there is a confirmed workmanship issue covered in writing.
Standard shop items:
Non-custom shop items may be eligible for return or exchange if approved by Oak & Iron and returned in unused, original condition within a reasonable time after delivery or pickup. Unless the return is due to damage, defect, or our error, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
If an item arrives damaged, you must contact us within a reasonable time after delivery and provide photos of the item and packaging if requested.
We reserve the right to deny any return, exchange, or refund request that does not meet these conditions.

9. Workshops and Events

Oak & Iron may offer workshops, classes, community events, and related registrations through the Site.
By registering for a workshop or event, you understand and agree that:
  • registration may be limited and subject to availability
  • your spot is not confirmed until payment, if required, has been received
  • workshop or event details may change if needed
  • we may reschedule, modify, or cancel a workshop or event at any time
Unless otherwise stated for a specific event, workshop and event registrations are generally non-refundable close to the event date due to limited capacity and planning commitments. If Oak & Iron cancels an event, we may offer a refund, credit, transfer, or rescheduling option.
Participation in workshops or events is at your own risk. You agree to follow all posted or stated instructions and safety guidance while attending.

10. Accounts

If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for any activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account or any other security issue involving your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, photography, graphics, logos, branding, layouts, product listings, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Oak & Iron and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We also do not guarantee that Site content will always be complete, accurate, or current.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oak & Iron is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your inability to use the Site, any order placed through the Site, any workshop or event participation, or your reliance on Site content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oak & Iron’s total liability for any claim related to the Site, any product, or any service will not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order, product, service, or registration giving rise to the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Oak & Iron and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
